Jordan Daily – Iftaa’ Department said on Sunday it issued more than 386,000 fatwas, or religious edicts , in 2023, covering various topics from personal matters to social issues.
The department said it received requests for fatwas through personal interviews, phone calls, website queries, and text messages. It also issued fatwas on divorce cases.
The department also participated in more than 50 TV shows and 300 radio shows, as well as other media platforms, to answer questions from the public and explain the Islamic perspective on current affairs.
