In his address, Indian Ambassador Manish Chauhan expressed his “deep gratitude to HRH Princess Basma bint Talal for gracing the occasion and to the officials of Royal Botanical Garden for their wonderful support in organizing the event.”

He also thanked participants for attending the event given the current difficult situation and briefed the gathering on the Indian government’s efforts to assist its citizens amid the evolving regional context.

Chauhan conveyed “gratitude to the Jordanian authorities… for their exceptional cooperation and assistance” and praised the Indian community and local supporters “for their contributions and support to the Embassy on all occasions.”

The International Day of Yoga, observed annually on June 21, was established by the United Nations in 2014 following a resolution proposed by India.
