Jordan Daily – The Arab Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs Manufacturing Company (Mobedco) , one of the oldest and most important companies in its field, has been a beacon of Jordanian effort and innovation since its establishment in 1991.
Over the years, the company has received numerous awards and certifications, including the ISO9001 Quality Management Certificate and the ISO14001 Environmental Management Certificate. Today, the company boasts a production base of over 600 types of veterinary medicines and pesticides.
In early 2024, His Majesty King Abdullah II bestowed the Silver Jubilee Medal on Arab Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs Manufacturing Company (Mobedco) in recognition of the company’s achievements over the 25 years since His Majesty assumed his constitutional powers. The company’s commitment to its agents and the timely delivery of most orders boosted customer confidence. This was achieved by maintaining a necessary stock for more than six months, enabling the company to overcome the crisis. By the end of last year, the company’s sales reached JD 29.9 million , compared to JD 24.2 million at the end of 2022, an increase of 23.5%. Net profits attributable to shareholders reached JD 4.4 million , compared to 3.9 million, an increase of 14.5% over 2022.
Through the developments it has added to the quality of production, the company aims to reach most countries in the world. It exports its products to more than 60 countries around the world, and there are new agreements to enter the European market, making it one of the first Jordanian companies to export its products to these markets.
Last year, the company announced a new investment in the field of medicine production, biotechnologies, and veterinary vaccines, with an investment volume of 15 million dollars. The General Manager of “Mobedco”, Mr. Mohammed Aqel Owais, says about this qualitative and new investment, that the company plans to expand its investments in the field of veterinary medicines , expecting that the products of the new factory will reach more than 50 markets in the world, while it will provide about 100 job opportunities in its first phase.
Owais explains that the factory will work in the field of medicine production, biotechnologies, and veterinary vaccines, to make “Mobedco” one of the leading companies in the manufacture of veterinary vaccines in the Middle East region.
He points out that the company will obtain a privilege to develop biomanufacturing technology in the Kingdom, which the coronavirus pandemic has shown the Kingdom’s urgent need for this technology.
