Jordan Daily – Iran’s Chargé d’Affaires in Jordan, Ambassador Ali Asghar Nasseri, called for international action against Israel’s aggression on Gaza, condemning the “ large-scale genocide” against Palestinians.
Speaking at an event marking International Quds Day held at the Embassy on Thursday, Nasseri reaffirmed Iran’s support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing that “International Quds Day is a symbol of solidarity among Muslims and freedom fighters worldwide in support of Palestine.”
“Despite Israel’s continued attempts to break their will using advanced weaponry and international support, the Palestinian people have shown that no force can weaken their determination or halt their march toward freedom,” he said.
He accused the U.S. of using its veto power at the U.N. to shield Israel from accountability, stating that “Every condemnation resolution at the Security Council and General Assembly was blocked by the American veto.” He called for a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and a permanent ceasefire to allow humanitarian aid to reach those in need.
Nasseri honored Hezbollah’s late leader Hassan Nasrallah and Iran’s General Qassem Soleimani, describing them as “a lasting symbol of resistance against oppression and corruption.”
