Jordan Daily – A significant shipment of humanitarian aid from Ireland has arrived in Jordan, marking another milestone in Ireland’s ongoing support for the people of Gaza. The shipment, which comprises 66 tonnes of essential supplies, is destined for those in critical need in Gaza.
The aid will be distributed by Catholic Relief, the international humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic community. This initiative underscores Ireland’s commitment to providing essential relief to those in need and its ongoing commitment to international humanitarian efforts.
Marianne Bolger, the Ambassador of Ireland to Jordan, visited the warehouse of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) where the aid was received. On her account on X platform, she expressed her gratitude to Dr. Hussein Al Shebli and JHCO for their assistance.
“Many thanks to Dr. Hussein AlShebli and JHCO for facilitating a visit by us to its warehouse yesterday, which received 66 tonnes of Irish Aid humanitarian stock. This will be transported onward to Gaza from Jordan for distribution by Catholic Relief to people in critical need,” she wrote.
This latest effort is a testament to Ireland’s long history of supporting Palestinians, demonstrating the country’s commitment to aiding those most in need.
