Jordan Daily – Syria’s state news agency, citing a military source, reported on Tuesday that three civilians were killed and nine others injured in an Israeli airstrike on the capital, Damascus.
The report added that the Israeli air raid also caused significant damage to private property.
According to the military source, “At approximately 2:05 a.m. on Tuesday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial attack using warplanes and drones from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting several locations in Damascus.”
The source noted that air defense systems “intercepted most of the missiles and drones, but the attack resulted in the deaths of three civilians, injuries to nine others, and substantial damage to private property.”
Israel has conducted airstrikes on Iran-linked targets in Syria for years, increasing the frequency of such attacks since the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation in October of last year.
