Italian pianist Ingrid Carbone takes Amman on a ‘musical journey through the Mediterranean’

Jordan Daily –  Italian pianist Ingrid Carbone performed Yesterday evening, a lecture-recital titled “A musical journey through the Mediterranean” at the Al-Hussein Cultural Center. The event was sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Amman in cooperation with the National Music Conservatory.

“Music is a key part of Italian culture and we are very glad of having the opportunity of hosting such a talented Italian musician here in Amman” said Italian Ambassador Luciano Pezzotti, addressing the vast audience present at the music hall, a further testimony to the strong interest that Italian cultural activities raise in Jordan.

In a statement sent to the Jordan Daily , the programme included piano music by Italian composer Ruggiero Leoncavallo and German composer Franz Listz. Ingrid Carbone chose not just to perform a concert, but to provide an opportunity to spread musical and cultural knowledge through her lecture – concert. In addition, in the days leading to yesterday’s event, Ms. Carbone made available her talent and expertise to the National Music Conservatory, offering individual masterclasses to a number of piano students.

This initiative is in line with the Italian Embassy’s constant commitment to promote Italian culture and reinforce the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
