JBA, Amman Chamber discuss trade cooperation

Jordan Daily – The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce discussed ways to strengthen trade cooperation and boost the national economy.

JBA Chairman Ayman Al- Alawneh met on Wednesday with Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce, to explore joint initiatives aimed at facilitating business activity and expanding cooperation across key economic sectors.

Alawneh stressed the importance of unifying efforts to support sustainable economic growth, enhance commercial performance and improve Jordan’s regional and international competitiveness.

Al-Haj Tawfiq highlighted the need to develop the trade and services sectors, support Jordanian exports of industrial, agricultural and service products, and ease the flow of trade with global markets.

He said cooperation would include organising joint trade delegations and strengthening commercial ties with countries such as Saudi Arabia and Syria.

Both sides said closer coordination would help streamline trade procedures and better serve Jordanian businesses.
