JDFS CEO visits border crossing, praises staff and plans for growth

Jordan Daily – Haitham Al-Majali ,CEO of the Jordanian Duty Free Shops (JDFS) visited the Sheikh Hussein Bridge, where he inspected the free market center and discussed ways to improve its performance.

He praised the efforts of all parties involved in running the border crossing, which he said serves travelers and visitors to Jordan and facilitates their shopping experience.

He also reviewed the plans to cope with the expected increase in the number of travelers from both sides, and stressed the need to ensure the availability of goods and the quality of service at the free market center, especially for those leaving the country. He said this would boost the JDFS’s sales and reputation.

The Jordanian Duty Free Shops (JDFS) was established in 1997 with only one shop in the capital, Amman. Since then, it has grown into one of the country’s top public shareholding companies, operating 20 shops at the kingdom’s land and sea borders.
