JFDA warns against toxic alcohol after methanol poisoning cases

Jordan Daily – Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) on Tuesday warned the public against consuming four alcoholic beverages linked to methanol poisoning. The affected products are:

  • Vodka Red Sun (500 ml)

  • Vodka Red Sun (250 ml)

  • Vodka 48 (350 ml)

  • Whisky Golden Crown (187.5 ml)

The Public Security Directorate said it had pulled 11 alcohol brands from the market, all made by the same manufacturer. Authorities are investigating and urged consumers to avoid unregulated alcoholic drinks.
