Jordan Daily – Three U.S. soldiers were killed and several others wounded in a drone attack on an “advanced border post with Syria on Sunday , Minister of Communication Muhannad Mubaidin said.
Mubaidin offered condolences to the United States and wished the injured a quick recovery.
He said no Jordanian troops were hurt in the attack, which he described as terrorist.
Jordan, a close U.S. ally, has been cooperating with Washington and other partners to secure its border with Syria, where a civil war has been raging for more than a decade.
Mubaidin said Jordan would continue to fight terrorism and smuggling across the border and defend its security against any threats. He noted Jordan had requested military assistance from the United States and other friendly countries to enhance its border capabilities.
