Jordan condemns Israeli minister’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jordan Dailly – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday condemned Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Al-Haram Al-Sharif.

The ministry said in a statement that the minister’s actions, along with the provocative practices of extremists, constitute a “flagrant violation of international law and the established historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its religious sanctities.”

The ministry also warned that the continuous unilateral measures and violations of Jerusalem’s historical and legal status “pose an imminent threat of igniting new cycles of violence in the region.”
