Jordan condemns Israeli provocations at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jordan Daily – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the recent actions of extremists who unlawfully entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, allowing for provocative actions that violate the sanctity of this holy site and the adjacent Islamic cemeteries. These actions occurred under the protection of Israeli police forces.

Ambassador Sinan Al-Majali, the official spokesman for the ministry, denounced the ongoing and unacceptable provocations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque , noting that the recurring of such incidents and the accompanying provocative actions within the mosque and its surroundings, as well as in the Islamic cemeteries nearby (which are recognized as Islamic endowments), constitute blatant violations of international law and historical norms governing Jerusalem and its sacred sites.

Al-Majali emphasized that the persistent violations and attacks on holy sites, in conjunction with Israel’s continued incursions into the occupied Palestinian territories, signal a troubling escalation and pose a grave threat that demands immediate cessation.
