Jordan condemns Israel’s occupation of Rafah crossing

By : JD

Jordan Daily – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned Israel’s recent actions in occupying the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing and closing it off to humanitarian aid for the beleaguered population of Gaza.

Sufian Al-Qudah, the official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that Israel’s control over the Rafah crossing and its prevention of humanitarian aid from entering Gaza constitute a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian norms.

Furthermore, Israel’s aggressive military operations in the city of Rafah exacerbate the situation, undermining efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire. Dr. Al-Qudah called on the entire international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill their responsibilities by promptly addressing the ongoing war in Gaza and holding those responsible for the continuous violations of international humanitarian law accountable.
