Jordan condemns Israel’s West Bank assaults, warns of red lines

Jordan Daily – Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh condemned the recent Israeli military offensive in the West Bank, including Jenin, Tubas, Tulkarm, and the Nour Shams refugee camp.

Speaking at a cabinet session on Wednesday, Al-Khasawneh described these actions as a “blatant violation” of international law and humanitarian standards, emphasizing that they exacerbate regional tensions and represent a severe lapse in humanitarian values.

He criticized Israel for its “aggressive conduct,” which he said undermines the obligations of an occupying power. He called these actions a “new low” in human rights abuses and condemned the provocative statements from some Israeli officials advocating for the displacement of West Bank residents.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering position against any measures that alter the status quo in Palestinian territories, calling them a “red line.”

Al-Khasawneh highlighted Jordan’s commitment to seeking international judicial recourse and pursuing a peace process based on a two-state solution , noting King Abdullah II’s efforts to halt the aggression and work towards a political resolution, stressing Jordan’s readiness to engage in all available measures to address these violations.
