Jordan Daily – Energy Minister Saleh Al-Kharabsheh and the country manager of CTGI Renewable Energy Partners, Dr. Mohammad Abu Atieh, signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to conduct feasibility studies for green hydrogen projects in Jordan.
Following the signing, Al-Kharabsheh said the memorandum aims to produce 200,000 tons of green ammonia annually and outlines the general framework for cooperation, enabling the company to conduct an initial feasibility study for a new green hydrogen project.
He emphasized that once the company completes its preliminary studies, the ministry will continue its collaboration based on the results, eventually leading to a final investment agreement for the project.
Al-Kharabsheh added, “Today, we are renewing our partnership with the private sector by signing the 13th agreement in the field of green hydrogen and green ammonia production, expanding investment opportunities in this sector and realizing the ministry’s vision to make Jordan a regional and global hub for hydrogen production and export through these signed memorandums.”
He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to facilitating investment in the hydrogen industry, calling it a valuable opportunity for both Jordan and investors.
For his part, Abu Atieh highlighted Jordan’s significant role in providing CTGI Renewable Energy Partners with the necessary support to deliver energy generation services in the country.
