Jordan Daily – Jordan flew 53 of its citizens out of the Gaza Strip on Thursday, following a royal order to evacuate them from the war-torn enclave, the foreign ministry said.

The ministry’s spokesman, Sufian Al-Qudah, said the Royal Jordanian Air Force plane landed at Al-Arish Airport in Egypt, where it picked up the evacuees who had crossed the Rafah border on Wednesday.

The plane also delivered humanitarian and medical aid to the Palestinians in Gaza, who are facing a worsening humanitarian crisis amid a blockade and ongoing conflict, Al-Qudah said in a statement.

The plane was expected to arrive at Marka Military Airport in Amman at 14:15 local time , he added.
