Jordan Daily – The government has set its funding needs for this year’s Syrian crisis response plan at approximately $2 billion, the lowest amount since the plan’s launch in 2015, reflecting a significant decline in international financial support.
According to data from the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, only $132.8 million in grants have been secured so far, covering just 6.8 percent of the required funds. This leaves an estimated shortfall of $1.953 billion.
Historically, response plans for the Syrian crisis have received between $2.276 billion and $2.98 billion annually since 2015, according to ministry figures.
