Jordan Daily –  Jordan Customs officials seized 565,000 Captagon pills hidden in a truck at the Jaber border crossing with Syria, the customs department said on Wednesday.

The truck was searched based on intelligence information and the drugs were found in a secret compartment in the truck , the department’s media spokesperson said in a statement.

The spokesperson said the drugs were handed over to the security authorities for legal action, and praised the cooperation between the customs staff and the security services in preventing drug smuggling.

Captagon is a stimulant drug and is banned in many countries. It is often produced in Syria and smuggled across the border to neighboring countries.
