Jordan Daily – Interior Minister, Mazen Al-Faraya, said on Tuesday that the country has granted Jordanian nationality to nearly 400 investors since 2018 to date.
Speaking at a meeting with both Jordanian and foreign investors in the Amman Chamber of Industry, Al-Faraya disclosed that 184 investors were granted citizenship since September 2021 alone.
The Interior Minister highlighted that the Jordanian nationality by investment program has undergone significant amendments, including the opening of several new areas and the relaxation of previous conditions. The modifications aim to encourage investments in Jordan and attract both capital and expertise.
Emphasizing the investor-friendly approach, Al-Faraya stated that the requirements for obtaining Jordanian citizenship through investment are now “reasonable and logical”. The move seeks to stimulate economic growth in Jordan by facilitating foreign direct investment.
