Jordan grants citizenship to 30 investors in first half of year, 561 since 2018

Jordan Daily – Jordan granted citizenship to 13 foreign investors in the second quarter of 2025, bringing the total for the first half of the year to 30, according to government officials.

Government spokesperson and Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Al-Momani said the 17 investors who received citizenship in the first quarter brought in a combined investment of around 32 million dinars ($45 million), generating approximately 600 jobs for Jordanians.

Since 2018, a total of 561 investors have obtained Jordanian nationality, Minister of Investment Mothanna Gharaibeh said, noting that Syrian and Iraqi nationals accounted for the largest share.

Gharaibeh added that recent amendments to the nationality-for-investment program aim to boost job creation and economic value. He also said the decision is expected to stimulate activity in the Amman Stock Exchange without causing inflation, enhancing the overall dynamics of the capital market.
