Jordan hosts key event ahead of Global Disability Summit 2025

Jordan Daily – The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) held an event titled “Illuminating the Path to Diversity and Inclusive Arts” at the Jordan Museum, marking a milestone in preparations for the Global Disability Summit 2025.

Under the patronage of Prince Mired Raad Zeid Al-Hussein, President of HCD and attended by German Ambassador Bertram von Moltke, the event is part of Jordan’s campaign for the summit, which the kingdom will co-host with Germany and the International Disability Alliance in Berlin next April.

Prince Mired praised Jordan’s progress in disability rights under King Abdullah II’s leadership, while the museum highlighted efforts to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

The event featured testimonies from people with disabilities and a performance by the National Music Conservatory Orchestra, promoting inclusive arts.

Jordan’s media campaign for the summit, launched in December, includes public awareness initiatives across various platforms, leading up to the summit’s inauguration in Berlin.
