Jordan hosts Syria, U.S. meeting on supporting Syrian stability

Jordan Daily – Jordan will host a meeting on Tuesday with Syria and the United States to discuss the situation in Syria and ways to support reconstruction on a basis that ensures the country’s security, stability and sovereignty.

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani and U.S. Special Envoy for Syria and Ambassador to Turkey Thomas Barik will attend, along with representatives from relevant institutions of the three countries.

The talks follow discussions held in Amman on July 19, 2025, which focused on maintaining a ceasefire in Syria’s southern Sweida province and finding solutions to the crisis there.

On the sidelines, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi will hold separate bilateral talks with Shibani and Barik to strengthen cooperation and exchange views on supporting Syria’s stability and promoting peace in the region.
