Jordan Daily – The Jordan Chamber of Industry, in partnership with EuroCham Jordan, on Thursday launched a series of sectoral workshops aimed at tackling challenges facing Jordanian exports to the European Union.
The initiative began with a session focused on the chemical and cosmetics industries, drawing broad participation from companies across the sector.
Director General of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Dr. Hazim Rahahleh said the workshops are intended to identify and analyze the main obstacles facing Jordanian manufacturers seeking access to EU markets.
EuroCham Jordan board member Eng. Mohammad Al-Smadi emphasized the need for industrial sectors to define their export requirements and priorities, in order to coordinate with relevant authorities and develop feasible projects.
Specialized firms shared practical insights from their export experiences to European markets, highlighting technical standards, registration procedures, and effective strategies for market entry.
The workshops aim to shed light on EU technical, health, and environmental requirements, showcase successful Jordanian exporters, and encourage knowledge sharing among local manufacturers.
The program will continue over the next three months, covering additional industrial sectors. It will conclude with a comprehensive report summarizing key recommendations and proposals to be submitted to Jordanian authorities and the European Union.
