Jordan Daily – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein discussed strengthening bilateral ties in a phone call on Friday, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry said.
They condemned attempts to damage relations by spreading a fabricated video about the Iraq-Palestine football match in Amman on March 25, 2025.
Safadi said investigations confirmed the video was fake, with legal action underway against those responsible. The ministers reaffirmed the strength of Jordan-Iraq ties, dismissing efforts to incite discord.
