Jordan, Ireland seek to enhance investment ties

Jordan Daily – Jordan and Ireland discussed ways to boost investment cooperation and promote the Kingdom’s economic opportunities on Wednesday, the Investment Ministry said in a statement.

Investment Minister Khuloud Al-Saqqaf met with Irish Ambassador Marianne Bolger and presented the various sectors that offer potential for investors, such as health, education, water and sanitation, the statement said.

She also highlighted the reforms that Jordan has implemented to improve the business environment, such as the new Investment Environment Law, the Public-Private Partnership Law, and the automation of licensing and economic activities.

Ambassador Bolger praised Jordan’s achievements and expressed Ireland’s interest in developing bilateral relations in various fields, the statement added.

Irish investments in Jordan amount to about $25 million in the services and industry sectors, according to the ministry.
