Jordan Daily – Jordan is ready to provide part of Lebanon’s electricity needs as soon as all related parties in the regional power connection project complete their preparations, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Saleh Kharabsheh said on Wednesday.
Kharabsheh made the remarks during a meeting in Amman with Lebanese Energy Minister Joseph Saddi, where both sides discussed strengthening economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of electricity interconnection and natural gas supply.
He noted that Jordan’s segment of the power interconnection line is fully operational and ready for use.
The ministers also discussed the possibility of delivering natural gas to Lebanon through the Arab Gas Pipeline as part of broader efforts to enhance energy cooperation between the two countries.
