Jordan Daily – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi had a phone conversation today with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib.
During the call, Safadi expressed Jordan’s solidarity with Lebanon, emphasizing the country’s commitment to Lebanon’s security and the safety of its citizens and institutions. He reiterated Jordan’s rejection of any aggression against Lebanon’s sovereignty.
Safadi warned of the serious consequences of any Israeli escalation against Lebanon, highlighting the potential threats to regional security and stability. He called for concerted efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent the region from slipping into a broader conflict. Safadi stressed the importance of adhering to UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
In response, Bou Habib expressed Lebanon’s appreciation for Jordan’s longstanding support for Lebanon’s security and stability.
