Jordan rejects allegations of airspace use by parties in regional conflict

Jordan Daily – The Jordanian Armed Forces have unequivocally denied allowing any party involved in the current regional conflict to use Jordanian airspace, according to a senior military official. The official stressed that Jordan will not permit its territory or airspace to be utilized for military purposes by any side, under any conditions.

The statement comes in response to a report circulated by a foreign-based website, which the official described as “entirely fabricated and riddled with falsehoods.” The official further noted that the report was “a work of fiction,” aimed at misleading the public.

The official clarified that recent sightings of Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft, including fighter jets, helicopters, and transport planes, were part of standard operations, particularly given the heightened military tensions in the region.

In recent days, some local social media accounts in Jordan have echoed the claims made by the foreign website, speculating about the possibility of Jordan permitting Israel to use its airspace. The military official firmly rejected these assertions, reiterating that no military action by any of the parties involved in the conflict has been sanctioned.

The official also condemned the foreign website’s report as a deliberate attempt to spread disinformation, coinciding with Jordan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation in the region. The Jordanian government is reportedly considering legal action against the website for disseminating these baseless claims.
