Jordan reopens airspace after temporary closure

Jordan Daily – Jordan reopened its airspace to civilian flights at 7:30 a.m. local time on Saturday, following a temporary closure prompted by heightened regional tensions, the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission said.

Captain Haitham Misto, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, announced the resumption of air traffic, allowing all incoming, outgoing, and transit flights to operate as scheduled.

The Royal Jordanian airlines said in a statement that all its scheduled flights from 8:00 a.m. local time would proceed as planned, barring any unforeseen regional developments. The airline urged passengers to arrive at the airport and complete travel procedures on time.

The airspace had been closed onFriday as a precautionary measure in response to escalating developments in the region, the regulator said.
