Jordan Daily – Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission announced on Sunday the reopening of the country’s airspace to air traffic after a temporary suspension.
The head of the Civil Aviation Commission, Haitham Misto, stated that Jordanian airspace has been reopened and normal operations have resumed , indicating that the previous decision to close the airspace until 11 AM has been cancelled.
This decision was made following a comprehensive assessment of current operational risks and a general evaluation of the situation, Misto added.
He pointed out that airlines and airports will be informed of this decision, and they have been notified. Consequently, air traffic will return to its normal state.
Misto emphasized that the most important thing is “to maintain the safety and security of civil aviation in the airspace and at the airports, and this has been achieved.”
