Jordan, Russia finalize visa waiver agreement for tourists

Jordan Daily – The Russian newspaper Izvestia , citing the Russian Embassy in Jordan, reported that Moscow and Amman are in the final stages of negotiating a visa waiver agreement for tourists traveling between the two countries.
“A Russian-Jordanian agreement to waive visas for tourists is nearing completion,” a source at the embassy said. “We expect Moscow and Amman to make an official announcement soon, marking an important step forward in our bilateral relations.”
The source also noted that direct flights between Amman and Moscow, operated by Royal Jordanian Airlines, are expected to resume in October.
“This will undoubtedly boost tourism and strengthen the connection between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and our citizens,” the source added.
