Jordan Daily – Jordan dispatched specialized firefighting units to Syria’s Latakia province on Sunday to assist in containing wildfires, following royal directives, the Public Security Directorate said in a statement.
The teams, drawn from the Civil Defence, were equipped with modern firefighting vehicles and gear to support ongoing efforts to control the blazes in the coastal region.
The crews crossed into Syrian territory earlier on Sunday and are expected to begin operations immediately alongside local and international firefighting forces.
