Jordan Daily – Jordan sent a convoy of 105 trucks carrying essential food supplies, including rice and flour, to Gaza on Sunday, marking the largest aid convoy since the onset of the war on the Gaza Strip, according to Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).

The convoy, coordinated by the Jordanian Armed Forces and JHCO, is set to be distributed by relevant authorities in the Gaza Strip. The aid is expected to arrive just before Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan.

Al-Shibli stated that this convoy will be followed by several similar ones as part of a plan to increase the number of land convoys directed to Gaza. The aim is to double the aid sent through the sustainable land relief bridge and introduce it through the Karm Abu Salem crossing to reach as many people in Gaza as possible.

This step comes in response to the urgent need to support the people in Gaza who are facing difficult humanitarian conditions.

Al-Shibli noted that Jordan, in accordance with royal directives, is keen to play a pioneering role in facilitating the arrival of aid to Gaza by coordinating with international entities and humanitarian organizations.

The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that the dispatch of the convoy comes within Jordan’s keenness to introduce more aid to the residents of the Strip to help them overcome the difficult conditions during the holy month of Ramadan and before Eid, embodying the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the two brotherly peoples.
