Jordan Daily – Finance Minister Abdelhakim Al-Shibli announced on Monday that government subsidies in the 2025 budget for previously supported goods remain unchanged, despite a reduction in allocations.
Speaking to the press, Al-Shibli explained that the reduction in allocations is due to expected decreases in global wheat and barley prices.
He confirmed that subsidies for gas cylinders and bread would continue as before. Additionally, the budget for the National Aid Fund has been increased by 20 million dinars, bringing the total to 280 million dinars, while student support funding has risen by JD10 million to reach 30 million.
