Jordan Tourism Board wraps up ITB Asia, eyes strategic partnerships in Asia

Jordan Daily – The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) wrapped up its participation in ITB Asia 2024, held in Singapore from October 23 to 25. The event saw the participation of several Jordanian travel agencies, the Jordanian Embassy in Singapore, the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.
JTB Managing Director, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, highlighted that the board’s participation aligns with its strategy to promote Jordan’s diverse tourism offerings and attract more visitors from Asia. Arabiyat noted in statement sent to Jordan Daily by JTB , that ITB Asia provides an ideal platform for engaging with the Asian tourism sector and exchanging expertise.
“This event is a golden opportunity to forge strategic partnerships that will strengthen Jordan’s tourism sector,” Arabiyat said, emphasizing the goal of positioning Jordan as a premier destination and offering comprehensive travel packages to Asian markets.
Arabiyat also underscored the JTB’s ongoing commitment to enhancing Jordan’s tourism industry and attracting visitors from around the world. He expressed optimism that the board’s participation in the event would yield positive results, further elevating Jordan’s status as a leading tourist destination in the region.
The event featured numerous meetings and activities aimed at fostering partnerships between Jordanian and Asian tourism companies. Participants showed considerable interest in Jordan’s rich heritage and natural attractions.
During the exhibition, the JTB held several bilateral meetings with Asian travel agencies, major tourism associations, and global airlines to boost cooperation and expand Jordan’s tourism networks across Asia.
