Jordan tourism revenues up 19.4% in July, CBJ data shows
Jordan Daily – Tourism revenue rose to $782.1 million in July 2023, a19.4% increase compared to the same period of last year, according to the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) data released on Monday.
Tourism revenue in the first seven months of 2023 increased by 50.1% to $4.238 billion, driven by a 51.3% rise in the number of tourists to 3,720,200.
Overnight tourists rose 47% to 3.085 million, while the number of one-day tourists jumped 76.2% to 635,000.
Tourism spending abroad in July rose 13.1% to $241 million, while spending in the first seven months of 2023 increased 37.9% to $1.147 billion.
