Jordan, U.S. Chiefs of Staff discuss strengthening military cooperation

Jordan Daily – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, met in Amman on Saturday with General Charles Brown, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Huneiti and Brown discussed avenues for enhanced cooperation and coordination across various sectors, alongside the latest developments in regional and international arenas, Jordan New Agency , Petra reported.

The discussions underscored a mutual commitment to the interests of the armed forces in both countries. General Al-Huneiti emphasized the importance of consolidating international efforts to achieve global security and peace.

General Brown, for his part, reaffirmed Jordan’s pivotal role in promoting security and stability in the region.

The meeting was also attended by the U.S. Ambassador to Jordan Yael Lempert , the U.S. Defense Attaché, and several senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces.
