Jordan Daily – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned on Sunday, of a severe escalation in southern Lebanon, emphasizing the dangers of igniting a new war against Lebanon in light of recent developments that included a rocket strike on the Syrian-occupied town of Majdal Shams. This incident resulted in a significant number of casualties among the town’s residents in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, highlighted the importance of supporting Lebanon and maintaining its security, stability, and the safety of its people and institutions. He underscored the need for effective international action to impose an immediate halt to the aggression and to end the humanitarian catastrophe it is causing. This is essential to protect the Palestinian people from further massacres and destruction and to safeguard regional and international security and stability.
