Jordan Daily – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed on Thursday the International Court of Justice’s decision to impose new temporary precautionary measures in the case brought by South Africa against Israel, accusing it of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and violating the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

Ambassador Sufian Qudah, the ministry spokesperson, underscored the importance of enforcing the ICJ’s ruling, which calls for Israel to halt its genocide in Gaza. He also stressed the necessity of cooperating with the UN to facilitate humanitarian aid entry, aiming to end Israel’s actions against Palestinians, alleviate hunger, and mitigate the humanitarian crisis.

Qudah further emphasized the international community’s obligation to take a firm stance to halt Israel’s actions in Gaza, prevent the use of starvation as a weapon, and compel compliance with international humanitarian law
