Jordanian business delegation to visit damascus in bid to boost economic ties

Jordan Daily – The Chairman of Jordan and Amman Chambers of Commerce Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, announced on Wednesday that he will lead a high-level business delegation to Damascus on May 26, marking his first visit to Syria.

The delegation, which will include presidents of various Jordanian chambers of commerce and representatives of key economic sectors, aims to strengthen ties between the Jordanian and Syrian private sectors.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Al-Haj Tawfiq said the visit would “mark the beginning of a new era of genuine relations between the Jordanian and Syrian private sectors.”

He added that the delegation’s goal is to work alongside the Syrian people in rebuilding their country, describing it as a duty and expressing solidarity with Syria. “The Syrian people deserve all the best,” he said.
