Jordan Daily – The Jordanian Field Hospital in Southern Gaza, in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), distributed 1,000 food parcels to residents of Khan Younis on Sunday, as part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support the people of Gaza.
This aid distribution is a continuation of Jordan’s humanitarian commitment to the region, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Local residents expressed profound gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah for his steadfast support, and praised the Jordanian Armed Forces for their vital humanitarian and medical assistance in Gaza.
Jordan operates two military field hospitals in Gaza. The first, established in the north of the strip in 2009 following the Hamas-Israel war in 2008, continues to provide critical services. The second hospital was set up in Khan Younis in November 2023, amid the Israeli aggression that began on October 7.
In addition to the facilities in Gaza, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army established another field hospital in Nablus in late November 2023, which has since conducted over 900 surgeries and treated more than 83,000 patients.
Jordan has also set up health centers in Ramallah and Jenin, serving tens of thousands of patients in the West Bank.
