Jordan Daily – The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Wednesday that 520 Malaysian students will enroll in Jordanian public and private universities for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year.
According to the ministry, in coordination with the Malaysian Cultural Attaché in Amman, 417 students are set to begin their studies at the start of the first semester, with an additional 103 students joining at the beginning of the second semester.
These students will be distributed across eight public and private universities, pursuing majors such as Arabic Language, Islamic Jurisprudence and its Foundations , Islamic Banking, Islamic Studies, Quranic Studies, and Economics. Others will be enrolled in Medicine, Dentistry, and Mechanical Engineering programs.
The ministry is working to address any challenges these students might face, with their arrival in Jordan expected in September. Currently, approximately 1,800 Malaysian students are studying at Jordanian universities.
Additionally, the ministry is working towards signing an executive program for cultural exchange between Jordan and Malaysia. This program would include scholarships benefiting students from both countries and would further enhance cooperation in higher education and scientific research.
