Jordanians celebrate the 63rd birthday of King Abdullah

Jordan Daily – King Abdullah II continues to lead efforts alongside Jordanians to advance the country’s development, modernization, and safeguard its resources, while bolstering its regional and international standing.

The king is committed to enhancing Jordan’s positive and moderate role in the Arab world, working towards a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, and supporting the Palestinian people’s aspirations, including their right to establish an independent state.

The King has dedicated himself to maintaining Jordan as a hub of development and stability in a turbulent region. His efforts focus on investing in human capital, combating terrorism and extremism through a comprehensive approach, and continuously striving to strengthen security and stability in the Middle East.

In 2024, King Abdullah II engaged in intense diplomatic efforts regionally and internationally, reinforcing Jordan’s ongoing support for its neighbors. He advocated for the Palestinian cause and a ceasefire in Gaza through meetings with global leaders and speeches at Arab and international forums. These efforts contributed to shifting international positions towards ending the aggression in Gaza.

During the latest conflict in Gaza, King Abdullah broke the blockade on the territory by directing the delivery of humanitarian, medical, and relief aid both by land and air. He personally participated in airlift operations and oversaw the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization’s preparation of the largest aid convoy to Gaza.

The King also dispatched field hospitals to both Gaza and the West Bank, and launched the “Restoring Hope” initiative, which provided prosthetic limbs to those who had lost them.
