Jordan’s Christians cancel Christmas festivities for Gaza

By : JD

Jordan Daily – Jordan’s Christian leaders said on Friday they will not hold any festive celebrations this year for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and will only hold church prayers, in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza who are under Israeli attack.

In a statement, the Council Of Church Leaders in Jordan said they made the decision to honour the martyrs in Gaza and Palestine, and to support their people who are suffering from the Israeli aggression.

The council also praised King Abdullah II for his efforts to end the aggression on Gaza, and the Jordanian army and security forces for protecting the country from any threats to its security and social harmony.
