Jordan Daily – Jordan imported 334,844 barrels of Iraqi oil by the end of last July, with an import rate of approximately 11,000 barrels of oil per day. The initial weighted average selling price allocated to Jordan stood at about $64.05 per barrel, According to data from Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO).
In the preceding months of May and June, the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company in Zarqa received a total of 556,062 thousand barrels of Iraqi crude oil from the modern Kirkuk depot in Iraq, according to previous statement by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
This development comes after the resumption of importing Iraqi oil to Jordan, following an agreement between the governments of both countries in May. Under this agreement, Jordan imports 10,000 barrels based on the monthly Brent crude rate, minus $16 per barrel, to cover quality differences and transportation fees.
