Jordan Daily – Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood on Sunday congratulated the Syrian people for what it called the success of their revolution and the toppling of President Bashar Al-Assad’s regime.
In a statement, the group expressed hope that Assad’s fall would mark the beginning of a new phase of national reconciliation in Syria, allowing the people to achieve their aspirations for stability, prosperity, and a dignified, free life after years of oppression and suffering.
The Brotherhood urged Syrians to safeguard their unified country, emphasizing that Syria should remain a stronghold for all its citizens, regardless of their backgrounds. It stressed the importance of Syria playing a supportive role in regional causes, particularly the Palestinian cause and its resistance.
The group also reiterated its opposition to any foreign intervention in Syria, calling for a joint Arab effort to help the Syrian people rebuild their country on the principles of freedom, justice, and the realization of popular will.
