Jordan Daily – The Greater Karak Municipality signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bremen Overseas Research & Development Association (BORDA), a German non-governmental organization, on Thursday.
The MoU aims to enhance community resilience through enabling community-based management of decentralized and sustainable wastewater, protecting natural resources, and adapting to the climate changes facing the Kingdom, according to the Mayor of the Municipality, Engineer Mohammed Al-Maaytah.
BORDA, headquartered in Bremen, Germany, has a network of local partner organizations in more than 20 countries worldwide. Since its establishment in 1977, BORDA has been active in poverty alleviation, sustainable protection of natural resources, and the development, implementation, and dissemination of decentralized sustainable technologies and social measures for water, wastewater, energy, and waste.
