Khamsin winds to bring heat, dust, and storms to Kingdom

Jordan Daily – Jordan is set for a week of sharp weather fluctuations, starting with mild and stable conditions on Tuesday, with temperatures around seasonal averages and moderate northwesterly winds.

A significant rise in temperatures is expected Wednesday due to a Khamsin low-pressure system, bringing hot weather to most areas and strong southwesterly winds up to 50 km/h, stirring dust and reducing visibility. Health warnings have been issued for respiratory patients.

By Wednesday night, dust intensifies and scattered showers are expected in the south, extending later to central and northern regions as cooler, humid air moves in.

Temperatures drop sharply on Thursday, with chances of scattered thunderstorms and localized hail. Dust remains a concern, particularly in the east.

Friday brings relatively stable conditions with mild daytime weather and cooler temperatures over highlands at night.
