Jordan Daily – U.S. President Joe Biden and King Abdullah II agreed on the need for a credible plan to protect more than a million people in Rafah, where a major Israeli military operation is looming,
Biden said on platform X on Tuesday after a meeting with the King : “Today, King Abdullah II and I discussed how no major military operation in Rafah should proceed without a credible plan to ensure the safety and support for the more than one million people sheltering there.Many people there have been displaced, displaced multiple times , fleeing the violence to the north and now there are packed into Rafah, exposed and vulnerable. They need to be protected. And we’ve also been clear from the start , we oppose any forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.”
